Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information batky.ai handles, why it is used, where it is stored, who processes it, and how you can request access or deletion.
Last updated September 4, 2026
Evan Batky operates batky.ai and the private automation tools described on this website. This Privacy Policy applies to batky.ai, inquiries and discovery meetings, and the Batky AI Google Workspace Assistant. It does not replace the privacy policies of third-party services that you choose to use.
“Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include information that has been de-identified so it can no longer reasonably identify you.
Information collected through batky.ai
The website may process the following information:
- Information you provide: details you share when you book a discovery meeting or communicate with Evan, including your name, email address, company, meeting details, and the business problem you want to discuss.
- Basic request information: an infrastructure provider may process an IP address, browser and device information, request time, requested URL, and security or diagnostic information needed to deliver and protect the site.
- Secure handoff information: the secure handoff page encrypts information in your browser. Neither the plaintext nor the encrypted package is submitted to or stored by batky.ai. Only the encrypted package you choose to copy is returned to the intended recipient through the channel you select.
- Demo information: the public customer-care demos use fictional local scenarios and do not submit entries to batky.ai, Shopify, or another customer system.
Batky.ai does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or a public user-account system. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the new use begins.
How website information is used
Information associated with the website may be used to:
- Deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot batky.ai.
- Schedule and prepare for discovery meetings.
- Respond to questions and evaluate whether a requested automation is a sensible fit.
- Prevent abuse, investigate security problems, and comply with applicable law.
- Maintain business records and document authorized work.
Batky AI Google Workspace Assistant
The Batky AI Google Workspace Assistant is a private productivity and automation tool. It is used by Evan and by people who explicitly connect a Google account for a defined workflow. It does not offer open public registration. A detailed description is available on the Google Workspace Assistant page.
Google data the assistant can access
The exact data accessed depends on the workflow the user authorizes. The assistant may access:
- Gmail: message and thread identifiers, labels, sender and recipient addresses, subject lines, timestamps, headers, message bodies, attachments, drafts, and sent messages.
- Google Calendar: calendar lists, event titles, descriptions, attendees, locations, conference details, start and end times, availability, reminders, and event identifiers.
- Google Drive: file and folder names, identifiers, metadata, permissions visible to the connected user, and file content for files the workflow needs to read. The current permission is read-only.
- Google Sheets: spreadsheet identifiers, sheet names, cell values, formulas, formatting, and other spreadsheet content required by an authorized workflow.
- Google Docs: document identifiers, text, structure, formatting, and other document content required by an authorized workflow.
- Google Contacts: names, email addresses, phone numbers, organization details, and other contact fields visible to the connected user. The current permission is read-only.
Google permissions and what they are used for
- Gmail read and modify: search and read messages needed by a workflow, detect prior handling, and apply authorized mailbox organization such as read state or labels.
- Gmail send: prepare and send a message only when the user has requested the action or approved a recurring workflow with a defined sender, recipient, purpose, and safety policy.
- Calendar: read availability and create, update, or remove events when the user requests scheduling or calendar management.
- Drive read-only: locate, read, and download files needed for an authorized task without changing Drive files or permissions.
- Sheets: read or update spreadsheet data used for an authorized operational, accounting, or reporting workflow.
- Docs: read, create, or update documents requested by the user or produced by an authorized workflow.
- Contacts read-only: find the correct person or address for a user-requested communication or record lookup.
Google permissions can technically allow broader access than an individual task requires. The assistant is designed to use only the data needed for the active, user-authorized workflow. It does not use Google data to build advertising profiles or to perform unrelated surveillance.
How Google data is used
Google data may be used to:
- Organize a mailbox and identify messages that need attention.
- Draft or send an authorized reply, reminder, or report.
- Extract receipt, scheduling, project, or customer information requested by the user.
- Read availability and create or maintain calendar events.
- Read source files and create or update authorized documents or spreadsheets.
- Find contact details required for a user-requested action.
- Prevent duplicate work, record workflow status, verify results, and investigate failures.
Google user data is not used for advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, lending, data brokerage, or surveillance. It is not sold or made available to unrelated third parties.
AI-assisted processing
Some authorized workflows use commercial AI services to classify, summarize, extract, or draft content. The applicable portion of Google user data may be sent to a provider such as Anthropic or OpenAI only to perform the requested workflow. Batky AI does not opt Google user data into provider model training and does not intentionally submit it through provider feedback tools.
Storage and retention of Google data
Google remains the source system for Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs, and Contacts. A workflow may store the minimum information needed for continuity, deduplication, verification, auditing, error recovery, or a user-facing result. Depending on the workflow, that can include Google resource identifiers, message or document content, extracted fields, generated drafts, action status, and timestamps.
Stored records are retained only while needed to provide the authorized feature, keep required business or security records, resolve a dispute, or comply with law. Retention depends on the workflow and the type of record. When the information is no longer needed, it is deleted, de-identified, or securely archived as required.
How Google data is shared
Google user data is shared only with service providers acting on behalf of Batky AI when needed to provide the authorized feature. These can include:
- Google: OAuth authorization and the connected Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs, and Contacts services.
- Anthropic or OpenAI: commercial AI processing for an authorized classification, extraction, summary, or draft.
- Vercel and private hosted infrastructure: execution of the applicable website or automation workflow.
- Purpose-specific storage providers: secure storage of workflow records when durable state is required.
Human access is limited to the connected user, people the user directs the information to, and authorized support or security personnel when the user requests help, when access is necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident, or when required by law.
Google Limited Use compliance
Batky AI Google Workspace Assistant’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to protect personal information. These include HTTPS in transit, access controls, purpose-scoped credentials where available, restricted secrets, and verification of sensitive changes. Service providers also apply their own platform security controls. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your controls and deletion requests
You can revoke the assistant’s access from Google Account connections. Revocation prevents new access but does not automatically delete workflow records already stored outside Google.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information or Google-derived workflow records, email evan@batky.ai. Include the connected Google account and enough information to identify the relevant workflow. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed.
Children’s information
Batky.ai and the Google Workspace Assistant are not directed to children, and personal information is not knowingly collected from children under the age at which they may consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may request deletion.
International processing
Service providers may process personal information in countries other than the one where you live. When applicable law requires a transfer mechanism, the relevant provider or Batky AI will rely on an approved mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the website, authorized workflows, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date, and additional notice will be provided when required by law.
